| This is a traditional village home that until last year was occupied by Penelope. Perched on the hill above Gimari on the northeast coast, from this location you are just 5 - 10 minutes from all the most desirable beaches and tavernas in the region. The property has pretty countryside and sea views. It is structurally sound but in need of refurbishment (if you undertake a modernisation of the property between Spring and summer end the property is habitable and water tight, but it would not be a tolerable experience in winter). This dwelling has the potential to offer a kitchen / diner, shower room and two bedrooms which are all currently there but in need of refurbishment, in addition a staircase can be installed to connect the ground floor to the upper level, which would provide a spacious lounge with wonderful flag stone floor (50% of the stone is already there, but would need relaying and extra supplies obtained to complete). Many of the the renovated properties here are let with tour operators generating good returns. We named this house Penelope's Porch because the entrance porch this a sheltered area where she spent much of her time and where she entertained her family and friends at festive times throughout the year. The house has one road side parking space and there is a small area to create a paved terrace next to the potential lounge area, as well as a small piece of land suitable for a vegetable patch, though access is awkward.
